Every note speaks, right up to the top of the keyboard.

BRIGHT GERMAN is a clear, brilliant German grand made for the K2700: a piano that speaks through a band and sparkles on its own. Nine velocity layers take it from a quiet, rounded touch to a bright, ringing fortissimo.

Every layer also has its pedal-down recording, so the open strings ring under the pedal. Above F6, where a grand has no dampers, the notes ring on whether you hold the pedal or not, as they do in the instrument. Key releases from three recordings follow your touch, with the K2700's own pedal noises underneath.

Three programs share the samples: Bright German, German Stage and German Room. All of them answer the same 22 controls on the K2700's panel, so you can close the lid, move the microphone or open the room while you play.

Inside

One grand, three ways to hear it.

Three programs on the same nine velocity layers.

BRIGHT GERMAN

The grand on its own, every control at its starting point: the one to shape from scratch on the K2700's panel.

GERMAN STAGE

The lid on its full stick, the microphone half a metre away, extra sparkle on top and a hall: for the stage.

GERMAN ROOM

The lid on the short stick, the microphone back at 1.2 m, a softer top and a warm room.

On the panel

The whole piano on the K2700's panel.

Every program answers the same 22 controls in Program mode, on the K2700 alone: no Mac and no app needed to shape the piano while you play.

The editor for your piano comes with it.

Buy this piano and KEDITOR GRAND is yours, free: a Mac app that edits your K2700 in real time: it opens the piano in a room and lets you shape it, lid, microphone, voicing EQ, string resonance, noises and hall, while the K2700 follows every move. Then it stores the patch there, or exports it as a file. KEDITOR GRAND is not sold on its own: it comes with every piano pack.

Build your own pianos automatically, in just a few clicks.

  • Shape the pianoOpen the lid, move the microphone from the hammers to the room, voice the EQ, set the string resonance and the noises: you hear each move at once.
  • Your touchThe Dynamic Response Curve sets which velocity layer each velocity plays: SOFT, HARD, or every boundary by hand.
  • On the K2700's panelAll 22 controls are the K2700's own knobs, sliders and buttons: a stored patch keeps them without the Mac.
